Richmond Kickers News Release
Richmond, VA - (Tuesday, February 24, 2009) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the 2009 camp schedule. This year's camp program opens April 6th with the First Kicks and Academy Spring Break Camps at Bryan Park. The camp staff is comprised of players from the Kickers Professional and W-League teams. Many are nationally licensed coaches with extensive playing experience and all serve as role models to the youth community.
"We have a great range of soccer camps to serve players of all ages and ability levels," comments Andy McIntosh, Director of Soccer Camps. "Whether you are looking for a fun camp for an inexperienced player or an advanced camp for a seasoned travel player, look no further than the Richmond Kickers Camp Program."
New this year is the Kickers Pro Camp, June 29th-July 3rd. This camp provides the opportunity to train and play like a pro and will be coached by Kickers Players at the University of Richmond Stadium, Richmond's home of pro soccer. Players will receive top quality coaching all week, and can also be dropped off early to watch the pro team train. Every player will receive a ticket for the July 4th game versus the Charlotte Eagles and will be recognized on the field at half time.
All of your favorite Kickers camps will be available again this year including First Kicks, Recreational, Academy, Advanced and Finishing & Goalkeeping. Back by popular demand, the Richmond Kickers Destiny of the W-League will also host their annual girls-only camp, June 22nd-26th. Additionally, the Kickers will offer the Soccer Speed Camp, Saturday Stadium Clinics, Team Camps and a Pre-Season Camp to get your young soccer player in top form for the fall season.
Camp participants will be grouped by age and ability, receiving age-appropriate instruction. For a complete camp schedule or to register online, visit RichmondKickers.com.
