Memphis 901 FC News Release
As the smoke bombs from Bluff City Mafia clear and the broken guitar gets cleared off the sideline, Memphis 901 FC will battle to make sure it won't be the final time they boot up at AutoZone Park this season.
Memphis comes into their last regular season home match with everything to play for even after clinching their third consecutive postseason appearance 14 days prior.
With a victory over El Paso on Saturday and a Louisville loss to Hartford, the Beale Street Boys bring postseason soccer to AutoZone Park by securing a top-four regular season finish.
Memphis clinched the playoff spot with a 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies on September 23 and will look to find their attacking groove after a 2-1 loss to Birmingham at home last time out.
Leading the front line charge for Memphis is Brazilian attacker and September USL Championship Player of the Month nominee Rodrigo Da Costa. The veteran forward has put in five goals in his last four appearances and leads the club with 15 scores this season, a new individual career high.
Da Costa notched his first career hat trick against Tampa Bay and continues to be a threat to opposing back lines.
El Paso comes to AutoZone Park from the Western Conference with a 12-12-8 record sitting at No. 7 still looking to clinch their postseason berth. Locomotive FC is winless in their last four matches after drawing San Diego Loyal SC in their last outing.
In a jampacked Western Conference, El Paso will be hungry to leave the Bluff City with a result heading into the last week of the regular season.
The interconference matchup is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff and fans can purchase tickets as low as $12 now on the club's official ticket site.
