Frederick Keys News Release
Members of the Frederick Keys front office staff will be speaking to civic groups throughout Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia over the next three months, as they continue to get fans ready for Opening Day on April 12.
Last year, the Keys visited more than 35 of these community service organizations during the winter of 2003, spreading word about the upcoming season. This year the Keys have many engagements already booked, but they are still looking for more opportunities to talk about baseball, upcoming promotions and ways that the organization can help in local communities.
"As the only professional sports team in this area, one of our duties is remaining involved with our local civic groups," said Joe Pinto, general manager of the Frederick Keys. "The hard work that members of these organizations show in improving their communities is admirable, and we enjoy our partnerships with them."
Program coordinators at civic groups that would like to invite a member of the Frederick Keys front office staff to a meeting should contact Nick Carita at 301-815-9914 or ncarita@frederickkeys.com.
