Kerry Wood Scheduled To Come To Iowa

Chicago Cubs right-hander Kerry Wood is scheduled to make a rehabilitation start for the Iowa Cubs on Tuesday, July 6, when the Cubs face the Albuquerque Isotopes at 7:05 p.m.
Barring any setbacks in his rehabilitation schedule, Wood, who is recovering from inflammation in his right triceps, will make his first appearance in Des Moines since April 23, 2000, when he was recovering from "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow. Wood also pitched for Iowa in 1997 and 1998.
Tickets are available at the Sec Taylor Stadium box office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 8:30 to noon Saturday and from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone during those hours at 515-243-6111 or may be ordered over the internet at www.iowacubs.com.
