Kernels Announce 2017 Theme Nights

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels have set their Theme Night schedule for the 2017 season and encourage fans to participate and have fun during these games. Popular fan favorites are returning and several new theme nights will take place at Perfect Game Field this season.

The Theme Night schedule starts on Friday, May 5th with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Movie Theme Night. NEW Theme Nights for 2017 include Kentucky Derby Night on Saturday, May 6th; State Fair Night on Saturday, June 10th; Cars 3 Movie Night on Friday, June 16th; Paw Patrol Night on Saturday, July 8th; Guns and Hoses Night on Thursday, July 20th; and Harry Potter Night on Saturday, July 22nd.

Theme Nights returning for the 2017 season include: Princess Night on Thursday, June 1st; Star Wars Night on Friday, June 9th; ISU Cyclone Night on Friday, July 7th; UNI Panther Night on Friday, July 21st; Superhero Night on Friday, August 4th; Beach Night on Saturday, August 12th; and Hawkeye Night on Friday, August 18th.

2017 season ticket packages and 10-game coupon books are on sale now at the stadium, or by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887. Individual game tickets go on sale Monday, March 13th at 10 AM.

The 2017 Kernels arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 2nd and your first chance to meet the new team is on Tuesday, April 3rd as part of 'Meet the Kernels Night'. The Kernels open the 2017 Midwest League season on the road at Beloit on Thursday, April 6th. The Kernels home opener is on Saturday, April 8th at 5:05 PM against Beloit.
