
Kenosha Kingfish Sign Pair of Sophomore Pitchers

Kenosha, Wis. -- The Kenosha Kingfish have announced the signing of sophomore pitchers Trey Oest from the University of Tampa and Bobby LeWarne from George Washington University for the summer of 2014.
Oest, a 6"3", 205-pound sophomore from Brandon, Florida, is joining to the Kingfish after his first season playing for the Spartans. The reigning Division II National Champion University of Tampa baseball program is off to a 23-1 start and is ranked No. 1 in the nation. Currently, Oest is 7-0 with a 2.47 ERA, throwing 44 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched. In 2013, Oest had a 5-0 record at the University of Virginia, while making 12 appearances on the mound. Oest is pursuing a Sport Management degree at the University of Tampa.
LeWarne, a 6'1", 190-pound native of Des Moines, Iowa, will join the Kingfish after completing his season with the Colonials. LeWarne currently has a 2.89 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 28 innings of work. Last season, LeWarne posted a 3.66 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 39.1 innings of relief. LeWarne is studying Pre-Medicine at George Washington University.
The Kingfish will host their season opener against the Mankato MoonDogs on Saturday, May 31st at 6:05 pm at Kenosha's historic Simmons Field. Single-game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, April 26.
