Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 27) – Kenny "The Glove" McEntyre, who became the Arena Football League's all-time career leader in interceptions on Sunday with two pickoffs against the Dallas Desperados during a 64-49 win, was named Arena Football League's ADT Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

McEntyre entered the game needing one interception to move past leader Durwood Roquemore on the all-time list with 50 career interceptions. After having a first quarter interception called back on a penalty away from the ball, McEntyre came up with two big interceptions in the fourth quarter to pass Roquemore.

He finished the game with a team-leading five tackles and a pass defense to go with two interceptions.

McEntyre now has six interceptions on the season to tie San Jose's Omarr Smith for the AFL lead. It was the fourth time in his career that the former two-time Defensive Player of the Year award winner has been named ADT Defensive Player of the Week.

In other news, the AFL named Los Angeles quarterback Tony Graziani as Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week and Las Vegas WR/DB Coco Blalock as its US Army "Ironman of the Week."

Graziani threw for eight touchdowns and 261 yards as Los Angeles crushed Chicago by a 71-35 count; while Blalock was outstanding in all three phases of the game as Las Vegas pounded Detroit, 60-34. Blalock has three receptions for 43 yards and one touchdown on offense, had 140 yards and a second touchdown on kickoff returns, and added four tackles on defense.

Orlando quarterback Joe Hamilton (6 touchdown passes) and WR/LB Cory Fleming (11 receptions-124 yards-4 Touchdowns) were finalists for the offensive player of the week and "Ironman" awards respectively.
