WAILUKU, Hawai'i - Price Kendall launched a go-ahead grand slam in the fifth inning, to highlight a 11-run inning in which the San Rafael Pacifics sent 17 batters to the plate.
San Rafael (31-11) had run-scoring hits from seven batters in their lineup, as they defeated Na Koa Ikaika Maui (30-15) 15-6 on Friday night.
Pacifics starter, Bennett Whitmore won his fifth straight decision and improved his record to 5-2. The southpaw didn't walk a single batter while scattering six hits and giving up just five runs.
With the win, the Pacifics extended their lead to 2 1/2 games over second-place Maui in the Pacific Association.
