Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
Ken Miller announced today he will step down in his role as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Miller will remain as the Vice President of Football Operations and will lead the search for a new head coach effective immediately.
"This was a tremendously difficult and emotional decision for me," stated Miller. "I have treasured my three seasons as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and look forward to continuing the level of excellence this organization has built on and off the field."
"I would like to thank my wife Maureen for her amazing support and companionship, President/CEO Jim Hopson and General Manager Brendan Taman for their friendship and confidence, the tireless work from our assistant coaches and support staff and of course to our amazing group of players who I had the privilege to coach."
Miller was named the Riders 27th head coach in modern history on February 6th, 2008. In his three seasons as head coach, Miller led the team to a 32-21-1 regular season record and three straight home playoff games. Along with Eagle Keys, Miller is the only other coach in Rider modern history to lead his team to back to back Grey Cup appearances and has the third highest winning percentage in club history (having coached in at least 30 regular season games).
