Wenatchee, WA: Coming off a 5-0 win on Friday night, the Kelowna Falcons felt pretty good about their chances on Saturday night in Wenatchee. Unfortunately it was the Applesox coming out on top with a 5-3 victory.

The Sox would jump out quickly on Falcons starter Cord Cockrill, scoring three times over the course of the first two innings. They would add another run in the fourth in front of 1,288 fans.

The Falcons would finally get on the board in the top of the fifth as Troy Conyers belted his first homerun of the season to lead off the inning. Kyle Moses would score an unearned run later in the inning to cut the lead in half.

After the Applesox tacked on a run in the seventh off Hunter Wood, the Falcons responded in their next at bats.

In the top of the eighth Jace Conrad and Kyle Pearson completed the double steal as Conrad scored, but that's as close as the Falcons would come.

Cockrill is hit with the loss and falls to 5-2 after throwing 3.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits.

The Falcons (19-14) will conclude their four game series in Wenatchee (24-11) on Sunday night at 6:05pm. The club will then return home to face the Bellingham Bells (21-12) on Monday in a four game series with playoff implications at stake.
