South Carolina Stingrays News Release


The South Carolina Stingrays will be collecting school supplies for the First Day Festival at games this weekend. Please help the local children by donating school supplies that can be distributed at the First Day Festival!!

If you can't make it to the games, the Stingrays will have a collection box in their office throughout the summer until the First Day Festival in August. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.

SECOND SEASON SUB-PLOTS

The Stingrays took a 2-1 series lead over the Florida Everblades with a 4-3 win in game three. Game four is tonight at 7:05.

Stingrays playoff tickets can be purchased at the box office or through ticket master. You can also call the front office at (843)744-2248 to purchase discounted group tickets or to sign up for 'Pay for Play'.

THE REST ON THE QUEST

The Cincinnati Cyclones punched their ticket to their second consecutive Conference Finals after sweeping the Elmira Jackals with a 2-0 win last night.

The Victoria Salmon Kings kept their hopes alive by defeating the Alaska Aces in game four of their series last night, 4-0.

Alaska will have a second chance to clinch a berth in the Conference Finals in game five against the Victoria Salmon Kings tonight.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

In 1997, Mike Ross set the record for most short handed goals in a playoff year with three. Since then,

that number has been tied four times, but never broken. Also getting three shorties was Brock Hooton

of Reading last year, Scott Borders of Bakersfield in 2006, Jay Murphy of Louisiana in 2000 and Joe Bianchi

of Richmond in 1999.
