The South Carolina Stingrays announce the official theme for the Kelly Cup Playoffs 2009. The "White-Out" will begin April 14, 2009 as the Stingrays take on the Charlotte Checkers at the North Charleston Coliseum in game 3 of the first round, best of 7 game series.

Exclusive playoff t-shirts are on sale now through the front office and at every Playoff Home game for $15. Fans are encouraged to wear white to the games in support of the Rays. SECOND SEASON SUB-PLOTS

The Stingrays prepare for game three of their best-of-seven game series against the Charlotte Checkers tomorrow at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Stingrays Captain Brad Farynuk returned to the line-up for game two after playing 17 games with the Quad City Flames of the AHL, garnering 1 goal and 2 assists.

Stingrays rookie Nikita Kashirsky and veteran Patrick Wellar are both tied for third in the league in playoff shooting percentage at 0.500, each scoring a goal on two shots.

THE REST ON THE QUEST

In the only game yesterday, Victoria's Todd Ford shutout Idaho 2-0 giving the Salmon Kings a 2-0 series lead over the Steelheads.

The Utah Grizzlies have yet to score a goal in their series against Alaska with regular season shutout lead J.P. Lamoureux posting shutouts in both games.

Former Stingray Paul McIlveen leads the ECHL in playoff assists with five assists in two games for the Elmira Jackals.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

In 1997, with the South Carolina Stingrays on their way to winning their first Kelly Cup Championship, Jason Cipolla accomplished something that has yet to be matched. In game four of the finals against the Louisiana Ice Gators Cipolla had three power play goals, the most power play goals scored by one player in a playoff game ever.
