Defensive back Jeremy Kellem returned to the five-time world champion Arizona Rattlers for the 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season on Wednesday. This will be his fifth season with the Rattlers and sixth in the AFL.

Last season with the Rattlers, Kellem led the league with 16 interceptions, earning First Team All-Arena honors and was named the Go RVing Defensive Back of the Year. In 2014, he collected a career-high 98 tackles to go along with six interceptions in the regular season. In 2013, he tallied 74.5 tackles and six interceptions with the Rattlers.

In 2012, Kellem earned Second Team All-Arena honors after recording a team-high 95.5 tackles and nine interceptions as a rookie with the New Orleans VooDoo.

The 5-foot-10, 195 pound Kellem attended Middle Tennessee State where he was a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference player earning First Team honors his junior and senior seasons. Kellem was also named to the ESPN Academic All-American Second Team in 2010.

At Deerfield Beach HS Kellem had 85 tackles, four sacks, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and three blocked field goals during his career. He also recorded four touchdowns. He was an all-state and all-county player during his time there. Kellem was named Defensive MVP at the North-South All-Star game. Also Kellem lettered in both football and basketball.
