Ottawa Lynx third baseman Jose Leon is giving a new meaning to the term "hot corner" with his hitting this season. The Puerto Rico native has been on fire at the plate and is enjoying his most productive offensive season in ten years of professional baseball. As of July 7th, the 27-year old right-handed slugger is leading the Lynx with a .331 batting average, 43 RBI and 15 home runs.
For the opposition
Norfolk Tides First Baseman Craig Brazell is currently tied for second in the league with 18 homeruns, and has been named to the International League All-Star team. He has also been invited to participate in the Home Run Derby that will be held during the festivities in Pawtucket. At the time of his selection, he was batting .280 with 43 runs scored, 11 doubles, and a team leading 46 RBI.
