Keene Crusies In Game Three, Defeats Holyoke 16-1

In what was a do or die game for the Keene Swamp Bats and the Holyoke Blue Sox, it was the home team Swamp Bats who showed up to play, defeating Holyoke 16-1.

Keene's offense had it going in the friendly confines of Alumni Field, amassing 19 hits on the night.

Swamp Bats with notable nights we're scattered across the lineup card.

Texas Tech's Eric Gutierrez went 3-4 with two RBI, which both came on a big two run homer in the bottom of the third inning.

Robbie Cafiero, Hofstra, came up big as well on Tuesday night, going 4-5 with four RBI.

Louisville's Zach Lucas had a solid game also with his 4-5 night at the dish from the leadoff spot.

Keene's starter David Sosebee had himself a fine outing as well. The right-hander out of the University of Georgia seven strong inning, limiting Holyoke to just one run on two hits and a walk, while also racking up five strikeouts along the way.

Joe McCarthy, Southern New Hampshire, came on in the eighth and ninth to finish things off.

The victory sends Keene to the Western Division Finals for the third consecutive season. They will play the Vermont Mountaineers, who own the #2 seed in the Western playoffs. Game One will be at Alumni Field on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
