Kebs de Laval News Release

Quebec City, PQ- Jamaal Wise had 34 points, and Quebec held Montreal to just 39% shooting in their 130-89 victory over Montreal.

Montreal, who have now lost seven straight, never had the lead in the contest as the Kebs set the tone early going on an 18-4 run to start the first quarter. Montreal did go on an 8-2 run of their own, but then it was Quebec going on another run of their own to go up 17 at the end of one quarter.

In the second, the Kebs more or less iced it as they started the quarter on a 20-1 run and would lead by 26 at half. Quebec was able to coast the rest of the way as the Kebs move to 4-13 on the season.

Wise hit his 34 on 15-24 from the field; he also pulled down nine rebounds. Alfred Neale had 18 with P.J. Young contributing 17 for the Kebs.

For the Sasquatch, Tristan Martin had a game high 37 on 16-40 from the field. Buster Perkins added 20 for Montreal who are now 3-11 and have lost their last seven.

Up next for the Kebs is Saturday's season finale against the Vermont Frost Heaves in Burlington. Montreal finishes up their season with a Saturday/Sunday matchup in Halifax against the Rainmen.
