Only 8 players and a big win for KEBS over Mill Rats

Saint John-Thursday, March 24th 2011 : Quebec City KEBS were playing against Saint John Mill Rats, tonight. They won by a final score of 87-85.

With a reduced roster, only 8 players, Quebec City KEBS accomplished an incredible feat. Quebec city team doubled his efforts to win over the Mill Rats. First quarter was dominating by Quebec, 25-21. On the 2nd quarter, both teams fight with intensity but KEBS stayed beyond by 2 points, ending this first half 43-41.

KEBS and Mill Rats gave all they got on the 2nd half, both fighting for that victory. Third quarter was dominated by defensive plays. With only 14 points scored by Saint John, Quebec City team took an advantage of 7 points at the end of this quarter (62-55). Last quarter was a pleasure for the fans. Both team started to score more and tried to take a comfortable advance, but it was impossible to make it happen, with those two excellent teams. KEBS won that game by 2 points without any centers; Aaron Spears is overseas and Jonas Pierre is hurt. Final score is 87-85 and this is the 13th victory for the Quebec City team, with only 8 players and a taller player of 6'7''.

Best scorer for Quebec City team is Royce Parran, who made a great performance of 20 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Quinnel Q Brown is the 2nd best scorer with 16 points; he got 5 assists and grabbed 14 rebounds. Benson Callier got the same total of rebounds (14) and scored 10 points as Erick Barkley. Tommy Mitchell got 13 points and 5 rebounds. Best scorer for Mill Rats is Dwuan Rice with 23 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds.

Quebec City KEBS will play their last regular season game at home, against Dayton Air Strikers, on March 27th, at 1pm, at PEPS of Laval University.
