
Kats Place Three on Recallable Waivers, Including Former Starter, Stoerner

NASHVILLE- The Nashville Kats have placed QB Clint Stoerner, LB Howard Hodges and OL Joel Rodriquez on recallable waivers announced Head Coach Pat Sperduto.
Stoerner (6-2, 210 Arkansas), who joined the Kats before the 2006 season after a prolific rookie season with the Dallas Desperados, led the Kats to an 8-8 record in 2006 including a trip to the AFL playoffs where they were defeated in the first round. Coming into 2007, Stoerner was listed number one on the team's depth chart and started the first two games before being pulled during Week 2 in favor of rookie Jeff Smoker. Stoerner's overall record as a starter was 8-11 in two seasons with the club including the playoffs.
Hodges (6-2, 255 Iowa), was signed in late 2006 in an effort to help the Kats provide pressure on the quarterback. Hodges played in each of the team's first four games, registering eight total tackles including 0.5 for loss. His total is currently fifth on the team's total tackles list.
Rodriguez, (6-3, 291 Miami-FL) was signed by the Kats mid-march to provide stability to the team's offensive line of which was suffering form injuries. Rodriguez played in the team's Week 4 matchup with the Austin Wranglers where he helped the team win their second consecutive game of the season.
