Phoenix Mercury News Release
PHOENIX - Contrary to what was originally reported by media outlets, Mercury forward/center Kara Braxton was suspended for one game on August 2 against the Minnesota Lynx for conduct detrimental to the team.
The Mercury (11-8), which is currently one-half game behind San Antonio for second place in the Western Conference, returns to the court on Sunday when it hosts the Connecticut Sun. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m. at US Airways Center.
