
Kansas Magic to host Colorado Springs Blizzard

6/14/11 - Kansas Magic owner B.J. Latas has announced that the Magic will host an exhibition game in Overland Park, Kan. on Saturday, July 23rd at the EPIC Indoor Sports Arena where they will play the Colorado Springs Blizzard of the Premier Arena Soccer League.
Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Kansas Magic phone at (913) 406-5257 or by walking into the EPIC Indoor Sports Arena, located at 135th and Quivira Road. All tickets are $10. Space is limited. Parking is free. There will be food and drink specials throughout the event.
The Magic will donate $1 of every ticket sold to the American Red Cross Tornado Disaster Fund to help aid the victims of the Joplin, Mo. tornado.
The 17 Magic players on the roster for the game come from seven different countries and from four of the six continental confederations in which the soccer world is divided.
Two Magic players have represented their country in international competition.
As part of the evening's entertainment, the Magic Jeanies Dance Team will perform. Members of the newly formed Jeanies have performed on other dance teams, most notably in the National Football League and National Basketball Association. Most of dance squad have danced for professional indoor soccer organizations. Karen Burec is the Dance Team Director.
