Magic takes on Detroit Sunday at home

Undefeated after an away and a home victory, the Kansas Magic face their biggest test in the young season on Sunday.

The Magic (2-0) will take on the Detroit Waza (3-0) at 7:05 p.m. Sunday at Epic Indoor Sports in Overland Park, Kan.

The Waza are currently leading the Eastern Division of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL).

The Magic edged the Illinois Piasa, 4-3, Saturday at Epic in their home opener. Mirsad Dzilic scored two of the Magic goal, both in the third quarter.

Detroit's biggest offensive threat is Miki Djerisilo, a familiar name to Kansas City indoor soccer fans. Djerisilo leads the PASL in scoring with 10 points (6G, 4A). He has scored two goals in each Detroit game.

All tickets are $10 and are available at Epic Indoor Sports. Parking is free and all seats are general admission.

Epic Indoor Sports, home venue for the Kansas Magic, is located at 12140 W. 135th St. (northwest corner of 135th and Quivira).

Numbers of Note:

- Mirsad Dzilic leads the Magic with four goals, two in each of the Magic's two games. He also has both game-winning goals.

- Kyle Brown leads the Magic in points with five (2G, 3A). His three assists also lead the team and Brown is tied for fourth in the league.

- Brian Williams, with three, and Head Coach Randall Porter, with two, are the only other Magic players with multiple goals after two games.

- Brett Porter is tied for first in the PASL with six blocked shots.

- Goalkeeper Jason Jacob is fifth in the league with 35 saves. Jacob is 2-0 with save percentage of .745.

- The Magic has scored on two of three power plays, tied with Detroit for the league lead.
