The Kansas Magic has added former Major League Soccer standout defender Nick Garcia to the roster for their exhibition game on April 30 at the Kansas Expocentre.
The Magic has also added goalkeeper Tim Baum to roster for the exhibition game to bring the number of players on the roster to 16.
Garcia played 11 seasons in MLS, eight with the Kansas City Wizards. He was named captain when he joined the San Jose Earthquakes in 2008 for their return to MLS. Garcia was traded to Toronto FC in June 2009 and played through the 2010 season.
In all, Garcia appeared in 283 regular season games (224 with Kansas City) and 23 playoff games (23 with Kansas City). Garcia is ranked in the top 10 in both games started and minutes played in an MLS career.
