Sunday, June 28, Mexican First Division side Santos Laguna comes to town with famed Mexico National Team goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez. The match counts as "Special Game A" in Kansas City Wizards season ticket packages. Single-game tickets are available for purchase by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com/kcwizards. The Wizards will also offer a special 2-game package that includes:
- One (1) ticket to the match against Santos Laguna
- One (1) ticket to the match Aug. 16 against former Santos player Cuauhtémoc Blanco and the Chicago Fire
- One (1) limited-edition T-shirt.

WIZARDS TO HOST CLINIC SUNDAY AFTER SANTOS LAGUNA MATCH AT CAB:
The Wizards will host a post-game clinic on the field at CAB next Sunday after the match against Santos Laguna. Wizards assistant coaches and players including Honduras National Team member Roger Espinoza will lead the clinic. For details on participating in the event, contact the Wizards at (913) 387-3400. BUDWEISER SPONSORS WATCH PARTIES FOR U.S. NATIONAL TEAM GAMES:
Wizards partner Budweiser is sponsoring watch parties at area 810 Zone locations for all 2009 U.S. National Team matches. Wednesday, watch parties will take place at both 810 Zones as the USA faces World #1 Spain in the Confederations Cup semifinals at 1:25 p.m. CT. Sunday, the U.S. will play either in the Championship or 3rd place match. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN.
WIZARDS TO FACE MINNESOTA THUNDER IN OPEN CUP JUNE 30:
The Kansas City Wizards will enter the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on Tuesday, June 30 when the Wizards will face the Minnesota Thunder (USL-1) at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. If Minnesota wins, they will host the Wizards June 30. Last season, Kansas City made the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Wizards lost in penalty kicks to Seattle Sounders (then of USL-1) at Qwest Field after a 0-0 tie through regulation and extra time.
Should the Wizards win next Tuesday, they will either travel to face Seattle for the second straight season or host the Portland Timbers (USL-1). Below are the potential quarterfinal matches in Kansas City's group:

WIZARDS HOST KANSAS CITY COLLEGE SHOWCASE JULY 25-26:
The Kansas City Wizards, Raytown Soccer Club and William Jewell College will host the 2nd annual Kansas City College Showcase July 25-26. The event will take place at William Jewell College and the Wizards' Swope Park Training Center. KCW Juniors U-16 and U-18 teams will take part in the showcase. Registration costs $800 per team and includes a voucher for a Kansas City Wizards ticket during the 2009 season. Each team will play three games in the showcase, with at least one taking place at the Kansas City Wizards training facility.
ARNAUD WINS GOAL OF THE WEEK:
Kansas City Wizards midfielder Davy Arnaud won last week's MLS Goal of the Week award for a beautiful combination play that led to the Wizards' first goal in a 3-1 win over the New England Revolution June 13. Arnaud took a feed from Herculez Gomez, then played a give-and-go with Claudio Lopez inside the penalty area for an easy finish. On the play, Arnaud broke a tie with teammate Josh Wolff to move alone into 3rd place on Kansas City's all-time goals list. Arnaud has now scored 37 goals during his eight-year career, all of which has been spent in Kansas City colors.
WIZARDS ANNOUNCE GAME DATE CHANGE FOR ROAD MATCH AT D.C. UNITED:
The Kansas City Wizards have announced that their match originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8 at D.C. United will be moved to Wednesday, Sept. 9 at RFK Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT. The match will still be televised live locally on Metro Sports in English and Time Warner Cable Channel 5 in Spanish. D.C. United will host Spanish superpower Real Madrid Aug. 9 at FedEx Field.
THE JIMMY CONRAD SHOW AIRS FROM TANNER'S IN SHAWNEE THIS MONTH:
The Jimmy Conrad Show, presented by Budweiser, will air Wednesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT and simulcast online at kcwizards.com. The show will be broadcast live from Tanner's Bar & Grill in Shawnee, Kan. during the month of June. The Tanner's is located near the intersection of K-7 at Shawnee Mission Parkway. Fans are encouraged to watch the show live in person for a chance to win great prizes.

In 2009, the Wizards will take registrations from fans at each edition of the Jimmy Conrad Show for month-end drawings. Prizes will include Field Side Reserved tickets, a clinic from a Wizards player, a Football/Futbol double-header package and a VIP Meet & Greet session after a training session. Each fan can enter that month's drawing each time they attend The Jimmy Conrad Show.
The Jimmy Conrad Show will be held at different bars throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. The show will run from 7-8 p.m. CT each week except for a small number of nights when the time will change due to programming conflicts on Sports Radio 810 WHB.

Wizards Head Coach Curt Onalfo joins Enrique Morales each Thursday at 5 p.m. CT for his weekly Spanish-language coach's show Zone Wizards on Ke Buena 1480 AM. This week, Spanish-speaking fans are encouraged to listen for a recap of last weekend's game against FC Atlas in the SuperLiga opener and a preview of Sunday's SuperLiga group-phase finale against Santos Laguna.
DYNAMO TO APPEAR SATURDAY AT PROVIDENCE MEDICAL CENTER:
