Sporting Kansas City News Release
The Kansas City Wizards announced today that the team has acquired a 2nd round pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft in a trade with FC Dallas for goalkeeper Kevin Hartman.
Since joining Kansas City prior to the 2007 season, Hartman played every minute of every MLS game for the club, helping the team to playoff appearances in 2007 and 2008. With the Wizards, Hartman kept a 1.40 goals against average, going 30-35-25 over three seasons.
The Wizards are currently taking orders for new season tickets. Season tickets are discounted up to 33% off the face value price and start at only $180 for 18 games. Fans purchasing new season-ticket packages will retain an early priority number that will determine seat locations in Kansas City's new stadium, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2011. Season ticketholders also get preferred parking at all Wizards home games, access to Wizards VIP events, merchandise discounts and much more. To purchase new season tickets, call the Wizards locally at 888-4KC-GOAL or 913-387-3400 or visit www.kcwizards.com.
Individual tickets are also available for the 2010 season by visiting www.ticketmaster.com/kcwizards or by calling (800) 745-3000. Tickets start at just $15 per game.
Kansas City is one of 18 cities included in the USA Bid Committee's bid to FIFA. The USA Bid Committee will submit their bid to FIFA in May, with FIFA choosing the host nations for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in December of 2010. To support the effort, Kansas Citians are asked to sign the petition at www.goUSAbid.com/kc and pass the petition along to their friends and family.
