Kalamazoo, Mich.- The Rockford IceHogs suffered their second loss of the 2005-06 season on Wednesday night, falling 7-0 to the Kalamazoo Wings at Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo tallied four goals in the first period and three in the final frame to knock off Rockford.

Winger Joe Seroski began the barrage at 3:55 of the opening period, deflecting home a goal past Hogs goalie Michel Robinson that would set the tone for the night. Seroski was later set up by Nick Bootland for his second marker at 9:26 making the score 2-0.

Then at 12:52 of the opening period, while Rockford was on the power play, winger Lucas Drake picked up a turnover in the IceHogs zone and fed center Mike Manley in front for a shorthanded goal. Kalamazoo would round out the first period scoring at 18:24 when winger Tyler Willis tipped in his first goal of the season.

After a scoreless second period, the Wings scored three more times in the first 9:47 of the third. Willis tallied his second goal of the night at 4:52 before Bootland deflected in his eighth goal of the season at 8:15. Drake rounded out the scoring at 9:47, netting a power play marker.
