Kinston Indians News Release
Kinston hosts Frederick on July 4th at Historic Grainger Stadium. Game time 6:30 pm. After a Tuesday Off Day, Kinston stays at home and welcomes Lynchburg to town for three games starting on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
Close It Up - Kinston has been fantastic at holding leads this season. This year Kinston is 31-2 when leading after six innings, 33-1 when leading after seven and 32-0 when leading after eight innings. Kinston has the fewest losses in the Carolina League in each of those catagories.
Comeback Kings - Kinston is 6-27 when trailing after six innings, the most wins in that category of any team in the Carolina League. Overall Kinston has 17 comeback wins this season.
One Run Heroes - Kinston leads the CL with a 19-9 record in 1-run games. No other team in the league has a 1-run record above .500 (Potomac is 13-3). Kinston started the season 2-6 in one run contests, going 17-3 since.
