Tribe Talk....

Road Sweet Road - The K-Tribe ruled the road, going 6-3 on their nine game roadtrip. Kinston won all three series on the road, taking two of three from Salem, Lynchburg and Frederick. Kinston has now won four of their last five series, but will be challenged as CL leading Potomac comes to town for four.

Bombs Away - Kinston also found their long, lost power on the road. Coming into their roadtrip (through their first 20 games) Kinston hit just five home runs. Kinston hit ten bombs in their nine games on the road.

Go, Go, Goedert - After a slow start to the roadtrip, Jared Goedert heated up with a 4-for-5 day yesterday, complete with a three-run home run. Goedert has now hit a home run in consecutive games (his only two round trippers of the year).

Canadian Sunrise - 20-year-old Canadian Nick Weglarz found his groove on the road....Weglarz had a team high 10 game hitting streak yesterday, but is still hitting .293, including

Days Off Are For Bankers, Not Baseball Players - Kinston is currently in the middle of a murderous 44 games in 42 days stretch to end the first half of the season. Kinston will have just one more scheduled off day (May 19th) before the first half ends (June 16th). Because of a season opening three game wash out, Kinston will play 44 games in 42 days to end the first half of the season, with three double headers scheduled against Winston-Salem in May.

Perfect Perdomo - Kinston closer Luis Perdomo has been on fire this season. Perdomo is 1-0 (6 saves) with a 0.00 ERA this year. Perdomo has given up just six hits through 18 innings of work this season, walking seven and striking out 13.

False Start- Kinston has given up 28 runs in the first inning this season, more total runs than in any other inning this year.
