Just three days from "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game

The Hamilton Bulldogs are excited to announce that some of the NHL's most prestigious trophies will be on display, courtesy of the Hockey Hall of Fame, at the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game on Friday, March 26th (7:00 p.m.), when the Bulldogs host the St. John's Maple Leafs at Copps Coliseum. Appearing downstairs at Copps Coliseum will be some of the trophies that the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey' have won including: the Stanley Cup, the James Norris Memorial Trophy (top NHL defenceman award), and the Jack Adams Award (top NHL coach award.)

The lower bowl of seating for the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game is completely sold-out. However, Bulldogs fans can purchase $10 upper bowl seats at all eleven Hamilton/Burlington Fortinos locations, at the Hamilton Bulldogs office, by calling Ticketmaster at (905) 527-7666 or going on-line at www.ticketmaster.ca. Proceeds from the upper bowl tickets will go towards Travis' Battle, a charitable fund set up to support Travis Carter, a six-year-old Ancaster boy who suffers from Battens Disease. Travis has been one of ten children chosen to receive experimental surgery.

Currently 18 former Hamilton area NHL players, coaches and officials have confirmed to be in attendance at the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game. Those confirmed attendees include: Harry Howell, Ric Nattress, Frank Caprice, Don Edwards, Ed Gilbert, Ron Murphy, Murray Oliver, Leo Reise, John Miszuk, Jack Birch, Bill Mahoney, Ron Sedlebauer, Stan Jonathan, Pat Hickey, Jack Stoddard, Willie Huber, Bill Friday and Bob Myers.

The Hamilton Bulldogs will be wearing special "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" jerseys to commemorate the game. These game worn jerseys will be auctioned off at the game.

'Teenage Head', a legendary Hamilton rock band, will be appearing at the "Heroes of Hometown Hockey" game during the second intermission and after the game at the downstairs beer garden in Copps Coliseum.
