Just One Month Until Opening Night

With exactly a month to go, the anticipation for the 2013 Boston Lobsters season is starting to boil over. The Lobsters are ready to serve up a blend of good times and great tennis. But before the World Team Tennis season kicks off there is a lot of work for team on tour.

May was a month that saw plenty of action for the Lobsters leading up to the French Open. Jill Craybas played four tournaments with four different partners. Her highlights for the month included reaching the quarterfinals of the Slovak Open with partner Elena Bogdan, reaching the semifinals of the Prague Open with partner Vesna Dolonc and playing at the French Open with Romina Parmentier.

Eric Butorac started May by playing in the Open de Nice Côte d'Azur where he and partner Lukas Dlouhy reached the quarterfinals. From there it was on to the French Open where he and partner Jack Sock lost a tight (7-5 7-6) second round match to the Bryan brothers.

Amir Weintraub was busy playing both singles and doubles leading up to the French Open qualifiers. His highlights included reaching the round of 16 in singles in Busan, South Korea and reaching the semifinals in Karshi, Uzbekistan with partner Teymuraz Gabashvili.
