JUPITER, Fla. Fueled by a seven-run third inning, the Hammerheads crushed Bradenton 11-5 Tuesday night at Roger Dean Stadium.

Making his second start with Jupiter on Major League rehab assignment from Miami, RHP Henderson Alvarez yielded two runs on two doubles and a single before recording an out in the top of the first inning.

Jupiter answered with two runs in the bottom half on an RBI single by Alex Burg and a wild pitch by Bradenton starter Zack Dodson, scoring Austin Barnes from third.

Following two quick outs in the bottom of the third, eight straight Hammerheads reached base, plating seven runs on five hits, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and an error. Wilfredo Gimenez and Brent Keys hit two-run singles, and Austin Nola delivered a two-run double.

Dodson was removed after issuing a bases-loaded walk to Ryan Goetz. LHP Zac Fuesser then allowed Barnes' two-run double and the RBI single to Keys to close the book on Dodson. In 2.1 innings, the Marauders' starter was charged with eight runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk, falling to 1-5 on the season.

The Hammerheads added two more in the fourth. Burg whacked an RBI double, then scored from third on Gimenez's double-play groundout to shortstop.

Every Hammerheads position player had scored at least one run after the fourth inning. Burg scored twice, as did Matt Smith, who was activated before Tuesday's game in place of Isaac Galloway, who was DL'd after suffering a concussion Monday night.

Alvarez was lifted after five innings, having allowed three earned runs. After escaping the first inning, Alvarez cruised through innings two, three, four and five, holding Bradenton to just two hitsone of them a solo home run off the bat of Eric Avila in the fourth inning.

Avila would later homer to straight away center field in the ninth inning, his third long ball of the season. He went 3-for-4 on the night, scoring three times while raising his season batting average to .221.
