Montreal Juniors News Release

The Montreal Juniors and Acadie-Bathurst Titan engaged in a good old fashioned shootout Wednesday morning before a crowd of mostly students from the Montreal area at the Verdun Auditorium, with the Juniors coming out on top with a 7-5 victory.

Montreal had a very balanced attack, with seven different players contributing a goal. Trevor Parkes and Viktor Hertzberg were the hot hands on this day, with a goal and three assists each. Other Montreal goals were scored by Louis Leblanc, Charles Landry, Jeremy Gouchie, Philip Lefebvre and Charles-Olivier Roussel. Zach O'Brien had two goals for the Titan, while single markers were scored by Jeremie Blain, Sebastien Trudeau and Christophe Losier.

Both starting goalies were chased after giving up five goals each. JF Berube and Etienne Marcoux combined for the win, turning aside 29 of 34 shots. Olivier Roy was replaced by Robert Steeves, and the two faced a 38 shots Juniors barrage.

NOTES: The Juniors continue their homestand when they host the Rimouski Oceanic Friday night at the Verdun Auditorium at 7:05pm.
