
Juniors top Mooseheads 4 to 1

Montreal January 8th 2010-The Montreal Juniors won their second straight road game tonight as they easily defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 4 to 1. Juniors captain Nicolas Chouinard led the way once again with a goal and an assist.
Without any scoring in the first, the Juniors scored four unanswered goals in the second. Nicolas Chouinard, Loic Poudrier, Matthew Brenton, and Hugo Roux tallied the four Junior goals. Halifax only goal came from Gerrad Grant in the third period, but that was not enough as the Juniors defeated the Mooseheads, 4 to 1.
Montreal netminder Jean-Francois Berube was superb once again as he denied 29/30 shots. Mooseheads goaltender Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault made 12/15 saves and was replaced by Peter Delmas who made 11/12 saves. Montreal has a record of 20-18-0-3 while Halifax is now at 8-31-1-2.
The Montreal Juniors will head to Saint John as they face the top-ranked Sea Dogs tomorrow. They will play the Drakkar on Sunday in Baie-Comeau before they conclude this road trip against the Oceanic in Rimouski on the 15th. The Juniors will return to the Auditorium on Sunday, January 17th, when they face the Victoriaville Tigers at 4:05PM.
