
Juniors Hold off MAINEiacs

The Montreal Juniors pulled out to a 4-2 lead in the third period and held off a late charge by the Lewiston Maineiacs to record another road victory before a crowd of 1711 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, ME.
Montreal was paced by Trevor Parkes who had two goals and an assist, including an empty net goal to seal the win. Parkes now leads Montreal in goals scored (16) and total points (31). Montreal's other goals came from David Rose, Jean-Christophe Laflamme and Louis-Marc Aubry, who continues his strong play of late.
Lewiston's goals came from Etienne Brodeur with two and Cameron Critchlow with the other. Lewiston goalie Nicholas Champion faced 30 shots from the Juniors, while JF Berube was the busier of the two goalies, turning aside 31 of the 34 Lewiston shots. Final score 5-3 for Montreal.
NOTES: The Juniors play a rare matinee game at 10:35am on Wednesday for children from the Lester B. Pearson School Board as part of the "Score with School" program versus the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Montreal defenseman Francis Meilleur has been chosen as the Second Star of the Month in the QMJHL for November. He had 2 goals and 8 assists over the span of 11 games, 10 of which were won by the Juniors.
