Juniors Fall To Huskies To End Regular Season

Montreal, March 14th, 2010- The Montreal Juniors finished the regular season against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies this afternoon, hosted division rival, Montreal is now 31-30-2-5 while Rouyn-Noranda is 41-21-2-4.
Huskies took the lead mid of the first period as Jordan Caron and Jeff Desjardins gave the Huskies the 2 to 0 margin. Jerome Raymond put the lose rebound home on the power play at 19:40 as he gave the Huskies the 3 to 0 lead heading to the second period. The Juniors got one back at 8:46 of the second when Jeremy Gouchie put the puck between the legs of Mickael Audette for his twenty-fifth of the season. The Huskies opened up the game in the third as Jeff Desjardins sniped one past Jean-Francois Berube at 4:42 for his second of the night. Pier-Luc Giguere extended the Huskies lead to four goals at 11:11. The Huskies topped the Juniors by the final score of 5 to 1 to conclude the regular season.
Juniors goaltender Jean-Francois Berube made 22/27 saves in the loss while Mickael Audette rejected 25/26 shots in the win.

The Juniors finished the regular season second in the division, they will face the Gatineau Olympiques in first round of the playoffs. Montreal's first two playoff games will be at home against the Gatineau Olympiques, Friday, March 19th, at 19:35 and Saturday, March 20th, at 19:35. The Juniors will head to Gatineau for Game 3 and 4, on March 22nd, and March 24th. Game 5 and Game 6 will be played in Montreal on Friday, March 26th, and Sunday, March 28th if necessary. In the event of a Game 7, the match will be held in Gatineau on Tuesday, March 30th.
