Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release

JAMESTOWN, NY - The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (9-27-3-0, 21 pts) fell 7-0 on the road to the Jamestown Rebels (21-17-2-1, 45 pts) Friday night.

The Rebels scored their first goal about halfway through the first period and their second six minutes later, giving them a 2-0 lead. Despite their ten shots on goal in the first, the Hat Tricks were unable to solve Jamestown goaltender Nolan Suggs.

A Jamestown barrage in the second period proved to be too much for Danbury to come back from. In the span of three minutes and six seconds, the Rebels netted three goals, increasing their lead to 5-0. They added a fourth at 17:51 of the second period.

The Hat Tricks seemed to settle down in the third period. Danbury increased its shot total from seven in the second to ten in the third, but still couldn't get any pucks past Suggs.

Adam Johnson had a busy night in net, making 29 saves. In his second consecutive start, Johnson rebounded well after the second period, making 10 saves in the third period.

The Jr. Hat Tricks will look to salvage the series in Saturday night's rematch against the Jamestown Rebels.
