
Johnstown Falls to Maine in Overtime

The Johnstown Tomahawks fall to the Maine Nordiques by a final score of 6-5 on Friday night in Johnstown.
The Tomahawks came out flying in the 1st period with five goals (Ulicny, Wilcox, Schmitt, Black, Vellucci). Maine responded in the 2nd period, turning a 5-0 game into a 5-3 game within the first five minutes of the middle frame. Adding onto the scoring late in the 2nd period was Maine's Tyler Gaulin who scored his second goal of the game on the power play to make it a one-goal game going into the 3rd period.
Maine's Aidan Connolly got the equalizer 8:09 into the 3rd, tying the game at 5 after the Tomahawks had a 5-0 lead to start the game.
Forcing overtime, Maine came away with the win as Tristan Fasig scored 2:44 into the overtime period, winning 6-5.
The two teams are back again tomorrow Saturday, February 12 as the Tomahawks look for redemption against the Nordiques. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
