DANBURY, CT - The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (11-39-3-0, 25 pts) dropped a contest to 3-1 to the Maine Nordiques (19-24-5-5, 48 pts) on Friday afternoon.

Danbury fell behind late in the first at the end of a busy period for goaltender Marino Ramirez. The netminder was peppered with 18 shots in the opening frame. Ramirez made 17 stops in the period, which was his busiest of the game.

After an early goal against in the second, Danbury responded late in the period. Luka Sukovic (13) took a puck away from a Maine defenseman and laid a pass on the tape of Peter Lychnikoff, who scored his seventh of the season.

The score stayed the same until late in the third during a Danbury push to tie the game. With 3:31 left, Maine won a draw in its own zone and converted on a two-on-one rush to make it 3-1.

The Hat Tricks are back in action against the Nordiques on Saturday at 12:30 in Danbury Arena. Tickets are available here and game can be seen on HockeyTV.
