Jr. Blues Home vs. Texas Tornado this weekend; Big Crowd Expected

The Springfield Jr. Blues get back on home ice this Friday and Saturday as they host the Texas Tornado. With several different promotions, the Blues management are expecting the crowds to grow.
According to coach Chris Wyler, "Texas is a huge team-and very physical. While they have suffered a few losses lately(two last weekend to the Blues!), they are turning things around very quickly. I think you'll see them near the top of the pack before season's end".
Blues management expect to see bigger crowds as the Blues-Tornado rivalry is one of the leagues oldest. They also have several promotions and charitable functions planned.
On both Friday and Saturday nights, the Jr. Blues Booster Club will have top-notch sports memoribilia on display and for sale. All proceeds will benefit the Booster club who use their funds to make life for the Springfield players a little nicer.
The Springfield Youth Hockey Mini-Mites will take the ice between the first and second period Friday. If you've never seen these little ones skate to a crowd, you need to see this!
On Saturday, the organization is pulling out all the stops. Courteousy of Jennings Automotive in Beardstown, the Blues will be giving away a Wii Box!!!!! That's right-not available in stores, this hard to find Christmas item will be 't Saturday night's game.
In addition, Saturday is Jr. Blues Mug Give-A-Way Night. The first 500 fans will recieve a HUGE thermal mug with free Pepsi product refills at any Harper On The Way convenience store for the rest of the season! Thanks to Pepsi, Harper Oil, Corky's BBQ and the Lake Springfield Marina for sponsoring this event!
To help make Christmas a little brighter for some Cental Illinois children this year, the Jr. Blues will host "Toys For Tots". Any fan bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the game will be rewarded with a free ticket to an upcoming Jr. Blues game of their choice.
You wanted entertainment - the Springfield Jr. Blues have it at the Nelson Center this weekend!
