
Jr. Blues Get the Sweep

The Jr. Blues picked up a 4-0 win over the Kenai River Brown Bears Saturday night to sweep the weekend series.
The Jr. Blues grabbed the lead fand never looked back after two first period goals. The first was a goal from Kyle Meeh off assists from Brady Tomlak and Trevor Stone. The second was a Sam Craggs goal off of assists from Stone and Meeh. The Jr. Blues then fired off back-to-back goals in the second within a minute from each other to push the lead to 4-0. The first was a Josh Bell goal off of assists from Matt Long and Kennan Sabatini. The second was a Luke Radetic goal off of assists Josh Bell and Matt Long. Both teams were held scoreless in the third period and 4-0 was the final score.
Niko Della Maggiore had 24 saves in the shutout and win.
The Jr. Blues are back at home again next weekend to take on the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
