Jr. Blues Fall to Ice Dogs

The Jr. Blues fell to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs by the score of 4-2 in the first game of the two game weekend set between the two teams.

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs started out with the lead when the scored in the first period. Sam Craggs then tied it up with a goal off assists from Kyle Meeh and Anthony Scarsella to tie the game up at 1-1 at the end of the first period. Both teams wer held scoreless in the second period. In the third the Ice Dogs scored two goals to creat a 3-1 lead but then Johs Bell scored a power play goal off an assist from Matt Long to cut the lead to 3-2. Fairbanks scored again to push the lead to 4-2, which would be the final.

Niko Della Maggiore had 30 save in the loss.

The same two teams play again tomorrow night.
