Jr. Blues Announce Draft Selections

Springfield Jr. Blues News Release
"We have been working hard with our scouts in the recruiting process to help take our program to the next level" stated General Manager Tony Zasowski "We feel that we did a great job in the draft in selecting the players we know will fit into our program."
Here are this year's draft picks:
1st Rd. Gabe Grunwald 6'3" 195 lbs. 1993 Goaltender Georgetown Raiders
Grunwald went 13-6-2 last season and posted a 2.62 GAA and .910 SV% last season in the OJHL. He has played for the Kenai River Brown Bears and Michigan in the NAHL. Gabe is a NCAA Division I commit of University of Wisconsin.
1st Rd. Sam Saliba 6' 175 lbs. 1995 Forward Team Illinois 18U
Saliba was the 4th leading scorer of the HPHL scoring 14 goals and 20 assists in 34 games. He is an USHL draft pick of the Chicago Steel.
3rd Rd. Colin MacGillivray 6'2 1995 Frward New Hampshire Monarchs
MacGillivray recorded 4 goals and 7 assists with the New Hampshire Monarchs in the EJHL last season. Colin is a USHL draft pick of the Youngstown Phantoms and also participated in the USA Hockey Select 15s.
4th Rd. Nick Belger 6' 180 lbs 1994 Forward Hartford Wolfpack
Belger has posted 48 goals and 68 assists in 3 seasons with the Wolfpack. He was a participant of the USA Hockey Select 14 and 15s. Nick is NCAA Division I commit of Sacred Heart.
4th Rd. Griffin Molino 5'10" 170 lbs 1994 Forward Brockville Bandits
Molino scored 14 goals and 21 assists last season in 61 games at the Junior A level in the Central Canada Hockey League. He attended the USA Hockey Select 14 Festival and was drafted in the USHL by Sioux Falls Stampede.
5th Rd. Lucas Stewart 6'1" 195 lbs 1995 Defender St. Louis Jr. Blues NA3HL
Stewart recorded 3 goals and 13 assists last season. Prior to that he played for the St. Louis Amateur Blues. Lucas attended this year's Pre Draft Camp and was a standout on the blue line.
6th Rd. Joe Wilkinson 6'2 190 lbs 1996 Defender Chicago Young Americans
Wilkinson posted 1 goal and 6 assists in 26 games in the HPHL this season. Joe is a USHL Draft pick of the Chicago Steel and attended this season Jr. Blue's Pre Draft Camp.
7th Rd. TJ Schultz 6'5" 180 lbs 1996 Defender Chicago Young Americans
Schultz posted 1 goal and 2 assists in 25 games this season. TJ is a USHL draft pick of the Chicago Steel and attended the Central District Evaluation Camp.
8th Rd. Keith Anderson 6'5" 210 1997 Forward Arizona Bobcats
Anderson's stats are unavailable for last season but did post 39 goals and 38 assists two seasons ago. He attended USA Hockey Select 15s. Keith is a WHL draft pick of Victoria and an USHL Draft pick of Cedar Rapids Rough Riders.
9th Rd. Thomas Kolaz 5'8" 160 lbs 1996 Forward St. Louis Amateur Blues
Kolaz posted 17 goals and 20 assists in 40 games last season. He helped lead the Amatuer Blues to the Central District Championship. Kolaz attended this season's Pre Draft Camp.
The Jr. Blues will have their Main Camp in Springfield July 12-16th at the Nelson Center.
