
Jovon Johnson Named Special Teams Player of the Week

WINNIPEG, MB - For the third time in four weeks, a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has been named a Gibson's Finest CFL Player of the Week. Jovon Johnson electrified the home crowd with an 83-yard punt return touchdown late in the fourth quarter that helped the Bombers beat the Edmonton Eskimos 47-21. This is Johnson's fourth Special Teams Player of the Week award as he previously won for his efforts last year in weeks 14, 15 and 17.
Johnson is the third Blue Bomber to be honoured this year as Joe Lobendahn was name Defensive Player of the Week for Week 1 and Buck Pierce was named Offensive Player of the Week for Week 2.
