
Josh Magette to Play for USA AmeriCup Qualifying Team

USA Basketball has announced that Lakeland Magic's Josh Magette will participate in the 2020 AmeriCup Qualifying Team training camp and games from February 18-23.
Magette and Team USA will be training in Florida before playing two games against Puerto Rico in the February FIBA AmeriCup Qualifying window. The 12-man roster will travel to San Juan for the first matchup on February 20 at 7:00 PM with the second game being held in Washington DC on February 23 at 3:00 PM.
Magette currently leads the NBA G League in assists per game. In 23 games played for the Lakeland Magic this season, Magette has averaged 20.4 points, 10.3 assists and 2.0 steals, averaging 34.8 minutes per game. Last month, he moved into second place on the NBA G League all-time assists leaderboard. Magette was also named to the Eastern Conference Midseason All-NBA G League Team.
The Lakeland Magic are back at home on Friday, February 21 to take on the Long Island Nets. Tip-off at the RP Funding Center is set for 7:00 PM. The game will be available on NBAGLeague.com
