Yuma Scorpions News Release
Yuma Scorpions first-year Manager Jose Canseco is calling for all talented professional ballplayers, or those with the skills that have been overlooked by major league organizations, to join him this Saturday at the Ray Kroc Complex in Yuma, Arizona as he fills out his roster for the coming season.
"I plan to win this league and I need talented players that love the game, are obsessed with winning, and want to be part of a fun and successful professional baseball team," said Canseco. "This is an opportunity for anyone. I don't care how old you are, what language you speak, you're gender, if you played in major league organizations, or where you played in college or overseas. I just want the best baseball players in the land. If you are one of those, I want you."
The Yuma Scorpions Baseball Club is pleased to announce open tryouts for the upcoming 2011 season. Jose and Ozzie Canseco will conduct the tryout on Saturday, May 7th at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma.
