Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The National Lacrosse League announced today that Colorado Mammoth forward Adam Jones, who received the league's Rookie of the Year award earlier this month, has been named to the NLL All-Rookie Team. He is the first Mammoth player to be named to the All-Rookie Team since 2007 when forward Jamie Shewchuk and transition player Nenad Gajic earned the honor.
"I'm happy for Adam, and I know he has a long and bright future ahead of him in the NLL," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.
Jones led all NLL rookies in assists (47) and points (76), was a two-time NLL Rookie of the Month and three-time NLL Rookie of the Week. His 29 goals set a new franchise rookie record.
Joining Jones on the All-Rookie Team are Philadelphia forward Kevin Crowley, Minnesota transition player Jordan MacIntosh and goaltender Evan Kirk, and Rochester forwards Stephen Keogh and Johnny Powless.
