ATLANTA, June 11, 2008- In partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Atlanta Dream will conduct a food drive prior to the team's game against the Indiana Fever on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Philips Arena. Gates will open at 6:30 pm.

The Dream encourages all fans attending the game to make a contribution and help eliminate hunger in the metro-Atlanta area. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations will be collected at all gates prior to the game at Philips Arena.

Founded in 1979, the Atlanta Community Food Bank currently distributes almost 2 million pounds of food to more than 800 nonprofit partners in 38 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. For more information, please visit www.acfb.org.

The Dream tipped off their inaugural season at Philips Arena with back-to-back sellouts on May 23 and May 25, 2008. The team was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007. The Dream are members of the WNBA's Eastern conference which also includes the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Detroit Shock, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics.
