3-03-08: Re-signed forwards Rebekkah Brunson and Nicole Powell to four-year contracts.

Sunday, June 8, 2008, 1:00 P.M. PDT at Madison Square Garden
- The victory marked the Monarchs first road win this season.
- Monarchs guard Ticha Penicheiro scored a game- and team-high 18 points in her first game back after being inactive against Detroit on June 6, while forward Nicole Powell finished with 14 points.
- Monarchs forward/center Adrian Williams-Strong led Sacramento with nine rebounds while Powell and forward Rebekkah Brunson each pulled down eight boards.
- Penicheiro and guard Kara Lawson dished out three assists apiece.
- The Monarchs scored 36 points in the paint to the Liberty's 20 while New York's bench outscored Sacramento's, 33-6.
MONARCHS CALENDAR
Thursday, June 12 - Sacramento Monarchs at Minnesota Lynx, 5:00 PM PDT
The Monarchs hold a dominating 21-11 advantage in the all-time series history against the Lynx, including a 9-6 record in Minnesota. In 2007, Sacramento was 3-1 against Minnesota, with the only loss coming in the final match-up, at ARCO Arena.
Saturday, June 14 - Sacramento Monarchs vs. Los Angeles Sparks, 7:00 PM PDT
Los Angeles visits Sacramento for the first time in 2008 after the teams split their four meetings last season. The Monarchs won both games at ARCO Arena while the Sparks won both games at the STAPLES Center
Friday, June 20 - Sacramento Monarchs vs. Connecticut Sun, 7:00 PM PDT
Sacramento fell to Connecticut, 87-64, earlier this season at the Mohegan Sun Arena and face the Sun for the second time in 2008 with a match-up at ARCO Arena on June 20.
