Jody O'Donnell named Stampede Director of Sales

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede are pleased to announce the hiring of Jody O'Donnell as the club's new Director of Sales. She will be responsible for the Stampede's Sales Department revenues derived from season tickets, partial-plans and group sales in addition to managing the productivity of the Stampede sales executives. She will also be in charge of strategizing and creating the team's sales department business plan.

A native of Madison, SD, Jody brings a wealth of hockey sales experience to the Stampede. Most recently, she spent the past three seasons with the Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League and the Memphis Xplorers of the Arena Football League 2 as the Director of Ticket Sales. With the RiverKings and Xplorers she oversaw all the ticket sale operations while selling 40% of the RiverKings group sales revenue for this past season.

Prior to working in Memphis, O'Donnell spent two seasons (2001-03) as the Ticketing and Merchandise Manager with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. She also spent one season (2003-04) with the Central Texas Blackhawks of the North American Hockey League where she held a similar position.

"This is a new position created by the franchise and we went through an extensive search to find the right person," stated Stampede president Jim Loria. "We are thrilled to have a person of Jody's caliber join our staff. She has a proven track record in the minor pro's and the USHL and we are confident she will take us to the next level in our sales growth," added Loria.

O'Donnell attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN on a golf scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing in December of 2002.

Jody and her husband, Tony, who is a professional baseball player for the CANAM Grays of the Canadian/American baseball league (CANAM), along with their dog, Lucky, are proud to now call Sioux Falls home.
