Sioux City Musketeers News Release
Sioux City, IA -The Musketeers and the United States Hockey League released the 2007-08 Regular Season Schedule. The USHL, entering it's 29 season, announced the 12 team, 360 game schedule. As in the past, the schedule will be unbalanced with teams playing more games against their divisional opponents.
The Sioux City Musketeers 30 game regular season home schedule consists of 10 Friday night and 14 Saturday night games. "We are really happy with the number of weekend games we have received over the past couple of years," said team President Jim Kronschnabel. "We really only have two true weeknight games and this bodes well for our attendance throughout the season."
The Musketeers will play two Sunday Matinee's which are always popular because of the âSkate with the Musketeers' they have after these games.
The season begins with the always popular Opening Night on October 6th against West Division rival the Lincoln Stars. Something new this year is a home game on Thanksgiving night against the Des Moines Buccaneers. And again, the traditional New Year's Eve game which this year will feature the Musketeers against I-29 and oft playoff rivals the Omaha Lancers.
The Musketeers also announced 2 pre-season games to be played prior to the USHL Fall Classic (formerly the Buc Bowl) which is coming to Sioux City September 27th -29th. Sioux Falls will be in town on September 22nd and the Ohio Jr. Bluejackets will be here on Tuesday, September 25th.
