San Rafael, CA -- The San Rafael Pacifics announced that for the sixth consecutive year, the team will be holding Jewish Heritage Night on July 26th. The Pacifics host the Martinez Clippers with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
Sponsored by Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, the Pacifics will be giving away drawstring bags to the first 250 fans.
Special guest for the evening is long-time Bay Area sports reporter, Rich Walcoff, who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch in addition to delivering a brief pre-game presentation about the great heritage of Jewish baseball players.
In keeping with Pacifics Jewish Heritage Day tradition, Jane's First Base Cafe will offer homemade potato latkes and pastrami sandwiches on rye.
Tickets are available at www.pacificsbaseball.com as well as at the Barbier Security Ticket Booth before and during Pacifics games.
